When the Gpu's prices will go down ?

They should stop manufacturing them now and make additional ai cards instead. With the amount of stock they seem to have if they keep prices as is it will last the rest of the generation probably
Would be actually a great strategy- less eWaste, less disgruntled AIBs, less disgruntled retailers etc.

Hey, so long as it is for this gen only and next gen we get some decent cards.
Yes, next gen will actually have a radically different sales model:
You will go to an official Nvidia Dealer, choose your base GPU model, upholstery RGB, cooling then come and discuss your financing plan for the card, starting from $10000 for the base X60 model cooling not included.

I think

Nvidia will only make a single model but the performance you get from it depends on your monthly subscription- so like every card is 90 series hardware but you only get 90 series performance if you pay top tier pricing.

It sounds like a joke, but Intel is already building the backend technology required to implement this into its CPUs

And if your connection is unstable your FPS will vary from X90 t X50 performance depending on server latency... Brilliant!

IBM started doing this decades ago with mainframes, possibly as early as the 70s. The hardware was present in your system but wasn't activated until you paid them. Mainframes were a real cash-cow as you effectively rented them much of the time, or at least were on the hook for a massively expensive support contract.

This is also why, when other companies start to advertise commodity hardware that you could offload your workloads to, IBM sue the **** out of everyone anywhere near it. It's usually cheap x86 hardware running the "Hercules" emulator, which is really really good... if you want to emulate a mainframe.

When will the 4080TI and 4090TI be released and will prices drop much when they do?

I searched recently and it was said the 5090 isn't likely to show up until late 2024/early 2025.

I dunno prices here anyway, have not shifted for a while.

I'm hearing things about price drops around the world but not in the UK, about right........
I think the RX7600 price drop got reflected here? Pretty sure it was £260 or even £269 and it's now £250 or so.

prices only go up if products are selling, so folk are buying, no one puts prices up if not selling, or the other reason is a promo, they raise the price beforehand, making the discount look bigger when it falls, a common retail scam
A certain retailer's shopping event is approaching soon and I think last year other retailers did run sales at the same time, and aren't July / August meant to be bad retail months, possible "sales" incoming again? :D

Sod this market, after summer I'll pick up a PS5 Slim for the autumn winter if it's out (and going by the MS court case it sounds like this is when MS think Sony will release it).

My GTX 1080 will have to just trundle on, next up is ME remaster anyway so it can cope with that.

Maybe there'll be something that'll make sense at some point and feel like a 'must buy' so I can finally get onto Cyberpunk and Starfield. Until then I'll be mainly a console boy.

Stuff em.

A 4070 completely outclasses the ps5 and you can get it for the same price.

Don't forget to take into account the price differences of games, PC is often cheaper.
