when to do a backup?

hi

ive just created factory default backup cd's for my new pc , but im a bit unsure if i should also make a backup of my pc using acer backup manager?

is it best to do this now or wait until ive got a few more files on my pc.

Personally I'd setup my email, bookmarks and installed the common apps I use before backing up. At least then if I ever re-image the PC I don't have to faff about

Just wait till you disk dies then go back in time and back up half an hour earlier

Seriously, I'd follow Kami's advice, install all your standard stuff then make a full image. Then back up your own files regularly as a separate entity.
