When to upgrade

Currently running the following system.
I5 7600k of to 4.8
8gb Corsair vengeance
Xfx Radeon Rx480 8gb
Runs almost everything at high settings on 1080p at 60+fps

Lately however playing Gta v I've been getting drops into the 40fps and some stuttering, also crashes after a hour for no reason.
Any ideas?

8GB can be upgraded to 16GB, dual-channel.
i5-7600K is just an ordinary quad core without hyper-threading enabled.

My advice is that you need to upgrade this April to Ryzen 2000 series. Take a 8-core 16-thread Ryzen 7 2700 (if this is its name), 16GB (2x8GB).
You can keep your RX 480 8GB.
