Maybe i'm just old but started playing a little PubG with my cousin and his friends and they all have their microphone settings set to open.

So I can hear feedback constantly. From key strokes on the keyboard to even gun fire in game because despite them wearing headphones the sound is playing back through their microphones at times.

Like surely it's common curtsy to have freaking push to talk on as standard?

No, using push to talk puts you at more of a disadvantage in competitive games, pushing another button just to speak hinders you needlessly.

Proper setup voice activation and muting when eating food should be standard.

You are right though, listening to feedback is very irritating.

I have mine on capslock, it doesn't hinder me at all having to press it. I don't need to lift my fingers of wsad to also speak.

Will need to spend a weekend helping him get the mic configured properly it seems :S
