Yes yes, i get all the jokes hahahaha in advance  :p .

Just curious when the last time you used one of those 1.44Mb Floppy disks In a PC (Not as a coaster, wallpaper scraper, frisbee and all those other uses for them).

Personally, about 3 weeks ago to install Win98SE on an old PC. Its just I dont know why PC's are still shipping with these. Seems rather pointless considering they all come with DVD/CD writers.

cant actually recall the last time i used one, probs when i was in school a few years back cos i used to save my work on a floppy till i bought a usb stick :D

Feb this year for flashing my bios, I've got one of those thats a card reader and floppy in one, floppy I only use once in the blue moon but allways build a new rig with one in the spec.

doggo

Tuesday, when i bought an £8 gigabit NIC as the one on motherboard has gone all wierd. Now i know it's a Realtek, the latest drivers will be going on my pendrive or an SD card.

Before that, it must be about 12 months, as i needed a floppy to install the SATA drivers on my NForce3 mobo every time i reformatted.

Used one today at work, they are required for a feature on the machines we produce, although that's being phased out.

Also a lot of PC manufacturers are no longer supplying PCs with 3.5"drives

This morning to use custom options at work on an unattended install for a student PC. I also need a floppy disk for my SATA drivers (MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum) or upgrading the BIOS.

Most normal users probably don't need them anymore though.

When was the last time you used Viagra? <yes sarcasm>

Seriously though, I only use a floppy if I'm using a new motherboard & have to install drivers off a floppy or I'm doing a bios flash, I've recently bought a 1GB USB Pen so hopefully this will remove the use of a floppy drive out of the equation forever. :)
