when will next big WOW content be ?

If only they would add some real solo content on power with raid content and reward.
This.

I don't really mind solo grind. I can sit back, stick a film on in the background and blow a few hours.

I hate group grind. Heroics, raids, even battlegrounds - I can get enjoyment from these when I'm not in a position where I have to keep doing them on repeat. It becomes more of a chore when you feel you have to gear up.

I went back this week after quitting almost as soon as I hit 85 in December, while I had 333 blues / a few quest greens still, and I just knew it would take a lot of grind to get anywhere near a raid group. I then went to PvP a little, the main element of endgame I enjoy, and with only one piece of pvp gear I was getting absolutely destroyed by 359/363 (or whatever the number is) arena geared players. Considering in previous incarnations of the game I was used to being up to date with my gear and was always pretty skilled at the game, it's disheartening to say the least to be one of the most poorly geared players on my server and the only remedy would be grinding it out in random dungeons / battlegrounds with people I don't like.

There should be a way to get good gear (not the best - it's correct that they are reserved for hardcore raiders / arena teams) without having to do things you don't enjoy.

It's an mmo what do you expect? if you want to complete a game on your own go buy a single player rpg...

It's your own fault for entering bg's with 1 piece of pvp gear, you can buy a full set of boe pvp gear off the auction house really cheap which should stop you from getting 2shot by people.

Then the bloodthirsty pvp gear only takes like a week to farm *as alliance at least i know the horde bg queues are a lot longer wait time*

It's just the matter of who puts the time in gets the greater rewards.

I'm totally baffled by your post.

There is hundreds of hours of solo content in the form of quests in the game. It boggles my mind when people rip through the levelling quests as fast as they can and then complain of no solo content.

If you consider yourself a solo player, yet when you stick on a film to distract you when you're levelling up then I'd suggest that you're doing it wrong.

You'll have got destroyed in PvP because by the sounds of it you went in there with no resilience fighting against people who do. There's loads of PvP gear that is easy to get through honor which will help you.

And it's very easy to get better gear through solo play if you want to do it that way.

And that is everything wrong with the game summed up in one sentence.

I can't really see how it's a problem at all - of course you'd want to reward players how spend more time on things. What would be the point of getting to max level and having everything dropped in your lap?
