My work PC always tends to be a few generations behind, as the most intensive task i use is Photoshop / Graphics programs for web graphics (so not really pushing things), or lots of windows open....
At present i am still on a (now OLD) AMD X2 (still works well) and when i brought this it was "last gen" too, but a big upgrade from my Dual P3 setup.
Due to reliability i need my PC working 24/7 and i think i am now pushing my luck with this PC, so am looking at upgrade prices for CPU, MB and RAM.
Would like to upgrade to SB, but will wait till it is "last gen" or the price coming down quiet a lot (if this will happen) (i think the current price is cracking (best pricing for years), but i still would like lower
+ last gen i5 and i7 are still more than SB..... hmmm )
Any ideas if/when the prices will start to come down and any ideas what too?
or should i maybe be looking at the Phenom II X4 Quad's when BD is released?
Hope this is not a silly question
Thanks
Jonny
