As title, the air and mac pro's have them, id buy a standard macbook if they had it as well, any ideas when it will be available ?

well spending that amount of money I want it to have what I want

, id go for a 15" mac pro but there a little priceyWell this is true. The multi-touch is nice but I personally don't see it being a deciding factor in making a purchase or not. The macbooks like all Apple products have pretty good resale so if you got one now and later down the line realized that you really wanted multi-touch, then you could more or less switch over without it hitting the pocket too hard.

Probably using as a differentiator at the moment as not much else difference apart from screen size. The CPU isn't that far behind and the GPU for the screen size is OK. There used to be a bigger gap between the two.
will macbook pro's get multitouch? i want the pinch thing on mine!
The new ones already have it.
Pretty sure it's beyond a software update to have it though, so you may get buying if you want the pinch.
Bingo, that's the exact reason they don't have it at the moment.

It is SOOOO useful. Especially for just browsing or reading pdfs.
