When will the cheap Android phones arrive?

Depends what you call cheap. Give it time, T-Mobile are due to release a PAYG Android that is between £150-200 9not cheap but it's getting there), and in time I dare say they'll become somewhat more reasonable in price.
 
Yea, is the first affordable Android handset going to be the HTC Tatto??

Im holding out for a successor to the G1 - I want a faster slimmer Android handset with a qwerty pad on it. Loving my G1!
 
Google should perhaps subsidise the handsets a little to get it moving and to make an impact on Blackberry and Iphone's market share. :o
 
I do think as new generations of Android phones come out the iPhone will suffer. I currently have a Magic and in a years time, or so, I shall get a phone thats not even been conceived yet that will blind me with it's awesomeness.

Ah I think you refer to the newly announced HTC Awesome? :p

Can only see Android as a phone OS getting stonger as the OS develops and matures and more phone carry it. :)
