When will we see Skylake laptops?

Basically, got a friend who's Mrs is addicted to minecraft (I know I know :roll eyes: ) she wants a laptop to play it on, she only wanted to pay upto £200 - £250 , told her just to get a PS4 but they're having none of it. Anyways the budget has now been increased to an absolute max of £350 so told them just to hang on until Skylake comes out with the upgraded intel hd graphics as I hear they're a lot better than previous gen? As I doubt she's going to get much in the way of a dedicated gpu for £350.

Do mobile Skylake cpu's release same time as desktop which I heard was rumoured for August 5th?

Someone asked Atom80 about Gigabyte Skylake machines in this thread and they said:

There will be a refresh of CPUs when Skylake launches, but we are unsure of the schedule,,, as it comes closer dates will firm up, but at the moment it is sketchy!

If things stay as they are today, then we expect product around October,,, could be earlier (slightly) and could be later,,, depends on our friends at Intel.

Still rocking thunderbolt 1 here on a 2011 MBP. Not used it once, would rather of had USB3 tbh, a lot more choices then.
