hey people, so as the title states.. when would it be the best type to buy pc hardware? the reason I am asking this is becuase of the sudden increase in HDD pricing.
another reason, I am asking this question is becuase I am saving up some money and can imagine to be finished within the next thew months, Iwould like some input from the overclockers forums to tell me when would be the best month/date to start purchasing some hardware, or just some general tips that come in hand when purchasing.
thanks, CrixxzeH. :)

The HDD increase is apparently due to flooding, so if you can predict act's of god you probably need a career change.

You run the risk of always waiting for the next best thing round the corner with this. The nature of the game is that there is always something better/new due to come out soon. You need to pick your own targets/deliverables and work towards building a system that will cope with those. As for advice, have a read around the forums ask some more questions about hardware then choose your intended package and get it checking by people on the forums as the chances are they will show you alternative options.

I think apart from rising HDD prices now is still a pretty good time to buy (and has been for the last few months). There are some very decent CPU's and graphic cards to be had for little money, never mind the dirt cheap RAM these days.

ahh ok, it's just im concerned about the HDD and OS prices going sky high,
1TB HDD's only used to be ay £60-70 now you're looking at £200 :((

how many times is this question going to be asked? already seen a few threads over the past few weeks.

actually the 1tb hdds used to be £40-£50 lower in some cases.
