after running for quite a while with my E6600 @ 3.17 gig @ 1.4875 VCore (bios)

I decided to see how much I could drop Vcore by for a slightly lower overclock (my Week 24 seems to have quite a step up at about 3.07 gig)

well ..

@ 3.01 gig - can drop Vcore to 1.35V - quite a difference, and 10 degrees lower max load temp

170 MHz for that increase in Vcore - I don't think its worth it - will give my C2D a rest I think - it deserves it ...

I just spent all evening gaming at 2.13Ghz instead of my usual 3.6ghz on my E6400. Did I notice? Not until I saw this thread and remembered :D

thanks guys - yes have tried a bit lower - but Orthos funks out almost immediately.

pity my RAM is so %$£^£$ - its Corsair XMS-6400 C5 - but its really pants - can't even do 830 MHz Orthos stable @ C5 ! .. so I'm having to run it at 670 CAS4 - not perfect.
