When your GPU is too big for your case..

Cheers guys, couldn't be bothered to send the card back it took so long to find one!

I looked at cases and thought I would prob never use this one again anyway so what the hell worth a try with a hacksaw. It worked out quite well, the front panel fits snug as before and the GPU can pull air direct from front vents.

This will do until a full new build in 4-5 years time.

My 3070 was 7mm too long, the 240mm AIO at the front of my case the fans got in the way. So I took a gamble and bought a 15mm wide fan to give me 10mm of space and placed this on the bottom of the radiator. 3070 just fits snugly. Checked my CPU temps and they are no different than they were with a 25mm fan. Relief.

Brilliant :D reminds me how things used to get done
Agree ;)

I remember how tight a fit my EVGA 8800gtx was in my old SN26P shuttle case

I had to bend over two caps to fit it...

Plus I had to cut a hole in the EVGA 8800gtx heatsink for another two caps to go up through

My mini ITX case can't go any longer than than stock cards. The facia is just too slim. Should fit the OEM cards though, just unfortunately not the longer AIB partner cards.
My case is 295mm max diameter outside

It's like a modded car with the air filter sticking out a hole in the bonnet.

...seeing other butchered cases will make me feel better lol.
Here's one I did to fit a GeForce 8600 that had a passive heatsink with heatpipes jutting so far out that I couldn't get the side panel on.

The big hole is the one for the heatpipes. I cut the others just to make that hole look less odd.
