When z77?

a certain range of z77 boards did go on sale at a retailer in the UK early this month / late last month, whether they're still selling them or not I dont know...

Going by a few reviews of Z77 boards so far, the only major advantage they have over Z68 is native USB3.

If I was building a new machine now, I might have waited on Z77, but native USB3 is not enough to make me change my board. I'll be sticking with Z68 until Haswell most likely.

But Ivy CPUs also work on Z68 or most of them at least.

I may get one if the price is right but I got a feeling they are going to be priced quite a bit higher than Z68 boards. the thing the new chipset offers really is not much to be honest.

I think I also saw a tiny tim logan vid on youtube that suggested that the current graphics cards wouldn't be chocked by pcie 2.0. However, maybe it would help with a 7990. Also a little futureproofing to further upcoming gfx cards.
