where are my folder names?

hi,

i seem to have lost my folder names lol and its rather annoying as i dont know which album is which without opening it

hope someone knows whats up with it

A bit of a stab in the dark, but have you tried going to Folder Options under Control Panel, and clicking the 'Reset All Folders' button under the View tab? Might help

ooo btw its only this one folder, the rest are fine

hmm, the obvious thing would be that you've (somehow) unticked "Name" in View; Choose Details. Failing that, (and a real stab in the dark here) a corrupted NTFS journal entry (which scandisk should fix)? I'd try the obvious first though

right it isnt unticked but when i try and untick it makes that *cant do that* noise..... the others untick and stuff though

Thats good, thats what Id expect tbh- what happens if you change the view type to (for example) details? Does it show then? And then if you change it back to thumbnail?

has the names in details view, but still doesnt have them in thumbnail view

Hold down shift when you open a folder or when you switch into thumbnail view. This will turn of the file names, giving more space for the thumbnails. Doing it again turns them back on.
