Out of interest how old was yours when it died? I've been water cooling since 2009 with the same 18W DDC, running at least 8 hours every day, so that's like 12 years of constant use. Any tell-tale signs it was on its way out you could maybe have detected or anything like that? Might be useful for anyone else with a DDC reading this thread to chip in and report how old theirs is, or how long it lasted if one has died.

Pump had been in various builds for some time, exactly how long I couldn't say but at a guess it was at least five years old maybe a lot more. This particular rig is a secondary rig that is used just for folding so is on 24/7 running through a 1070 and a 1080ti, a cheapass block cooling a G4560, a crossflow 280 and a 60mm 420. Believe it or not, the system continued to work after the pump failed although the 1080ti became unbelievably hot and therefore throttled. I simply found poor thermals, shut it down, found the downtube to the res cold and therefore knew the pump had died.
