I read that as contradicting itself... do you mean they've added it to PS3 functionality but just not made the physical controller yet?

That would make sense seeing as it's the design of a vibration unit that they're not allowed to use I've been told.

PS3 play booth is massive. 40" Bravia running in HD. VF4 looked amazing on it to say the least. THey even have a sofa for two people to sit on. :p

Never seen any back home(Scotland) but every electronics store I have been in in Germany so far has had atleast one. Had a shot of Motorstorm on a 46"(iirc) Pioneer, it was gorgeous.

I saw one place with a section laid out for you to play on it. Looked quite swish with its black sofa and black glass table affair. However, they had an old PS2 controller connected to it, which was then wired and stuck to the table. Oh, and there were about 6 chavs sitting there playing Motorstorm for about 25 minutes.

Everywhere else just had a HDTV setup and a random video playing.

There are some in Nottingham City Centre.

Where abouts? I live in nottingham and have seen the screens set-up but no demos. Like if there is playable demos how come you never see anyone playing on them. In HMV (vic center) people just seem walk in, have a look at them then walk out!?

I stand corrected. Just after making this post I went into HMV in victoria center and there were some people playing on the PS3. I had ago after them on motorstorm.

Have to say I was impressed with the game. Awesome graphics though the load times were pretty slow. I liked the PS3 joypads, they were extremely light and the analogue stick had a very nice smooth feel to it. The lack of rumble didn't bother me personaly but I can see why it would turn a lot of people off. I think the joypads are something you'll either love or hate.

Do I think the console if worth the money? Well I would be personaly be more tempted to spend the money on PC equipment 8800gtx or something because for entertainment, no games machine will ever beat a good PC running CS:source or WoW. But if had £1500 (£500 cosnole + £1000 decent HD TV) I could throw away then yes I would be very, very tempted.

Me and Zef saw a playable one in the Birmingham Bull-ring Currys.digital. There was a member of staff guarding it angrily :(

A popular music store in the metro centre had one as well as games store, another was in a large electronics store in team valley where I got to play F1, which I had to say I REALLY REALLY enjoyed :D (motorstorm looked pretty sexy to i might add!) My opinion has dramatically changed on said console.

What I've noticed in all high street shops is that you can't actualy get a hands-on demo of the PS3 unlike with the 360. I think this is because if joe public actualy saw that for the best part of £500 the gaming experience really isn't that much different from the 360 he might just buy a 360 and save himself a few hundred quid. It does seem to me that son'y tactic is to hype the console up a lot while not giving gamers the chance to see if console lives upto the hype.

HMV at Trocadero in London has a booth. The booth is huge and the PS3 is hooked up to a 46" 1080p Sony LCDTV. The 360 and Wii are alongside and look insignificant.

I think it looked amazing. I don't suppose they can afford to put them in every store though.

im now claiming this threads start to be BS :p

went to town yesterday and everywhere where youd expect them to have a console demo booths had ps3 ones :o
