As everybody knows there are a few big titles out towards the end of the year such as, Battlefield 3, MW3, Skyrim, Forza 4 and GOW3, just to name a few. I was wondering where everybody is preordering from?

LOL wut

I buy from amazon, play, steam, shopto, game, gamestation, greenmangaming, coolshop, bee & thehut.

If I bet banned I'm blaming you kebab

I used to but now I refuse to buy games until they work properly, which sadly means a few weeks/months after release. Also cheaper too ;) but the main benefit is loading a game and it just working, instead of spending hours googling bugs and trying to find fixes, waiting for patches, too busy for that lark anymore.

You would think that at least big budget titles like COD would work properly on release with all the money thrown at them but remember COD:BO launch :(

Game mostly, the reward points allow me to save money more than once a year and have always been reliable.

Steam if the price is the same as boxed, which is rarely...

I buy very few games on release - the only title this year is deus ex.

I pre-ordered that from wherever had a good deal - I think it was ~£23 for the augmented edition from whsmith online. I just bought it on a whim after seeing the deal on savvygamer. If the order gets cancelled I probably wouldn't care.

Normally my local GAME or Gamestation.
Last time I pre-ordered from Zavvi it arrived about 4 days after release. Was not best pleased.

Still looking to pre-order Star Wars TOR but not decided on what version (deluxe or standard). And for some reason I always thought PC games were cheaper than console games. Was quite surprised to see standard version at £35-£45 :-(

Pretty much the good ones been mentioned. I like to shop around to get the lowest price myself, getting the game on release day doesn't matter to me anymore and if unlucky will come day or two after the release anyway.

Amazon normally do really cheap pre orders if you catch them when the game first go up, I got Diablo 3 on pre order for about 20 pounds, its already now been risen to £30 so bit of a bargain there.

Competitors

1. Amazon and places like these etailers/retailers are fine to talk about but please do *NOT* discuss our core business products or link to them such as motherboards, cpus, mice etc.

Example,
Quote:
So buy a CD from Amazon = allowed.
Check out the price of Graphics Cards on Amazon = not allowed.
2. Digital Distribution services are ok to talk about.

3. Retailers and Etailers that only focus on pc hardware are *NOT* to be discussed or linked to.

4. Anyone caught promoting pc hardware on these forums will face warnings and if continued persistence entails then a possible ban will ensue.

To answer the question, mainly shopto, will use Game if they have a pre-order bonus I'm interested in.

I would like to take this moment to advise people to stop pre ordering games to avoid the major disappointment that will follow after you get the game and it being really bad, and you being unable to get a refund.

wait until it is actually out, read and listen to what other people that bought it have to say (never trust reviews anymore, they give anything a 90%+ score because they are paid to do so by the publishers), and wait for genuine in game footage / recordings on youtube made by players to judge the game on as opposed to fake CGI or a few handpicked scenes only showing the best parts of the game.
