In the past, my Mum's had a couple (or maybe more) plastic measuring cones with markers for weights of flour, rice, sugar etc along with volume measurements, but over the years they've broken more & more, so I want to try and find her a new one.

They look like this (but I want a transparent, plastic one, rather than aluminium):

Has anyone come across somewhere I can buy these from? I've been googling for a while, but not managed to find one (here, or in the US)

OCUK, do me proud :p

A very nice find, thank you! That second one is exactly the same as the previous ones she's had, I was hoping someone might have been able to find a shop that sold them new (then I could buy her a suppy :p) but I guess 1 that's not broken is better than what she has at the moment!

Lakeland sell them.

No hotlinked images. Thank you.

If you need a good measuring jug, then these measuring jugs put Pyrex ones to shame for accuracy.

They also do a 3 piece set here. http://www.williams-sonoma.com/products/oxo-angled-measuring-cup-set/

And Tala Cook's Measure @ £7:39p @ Lakeland, Cat Ref: 13046.

Lakeland, used to work there. Curiously they have liquid units in them but are classed as FOR DRY USE ONLY by the manufacture. Ah whoops transparent, ignore me.

Tried Lakeland, they're all either Aluminium, or without the weight measurements (the main use)

Omg I want one, I hate using scales. Other than baking where you need to be precise.

Bring back recipes in cup measurements.

Shame on you! :p
If you have zeroing scales it is much better and quicker than using cups.
Also US sites drive me crazy when they talk about cups of vegetables, without specifying anything about how they are chopped (it can make such a huge difference to the amount in a recipe); if trying something for the first time it is a pain to not have a solid reference.
