Where can I get a BIG cardboard box?

Wassup Dawg?

I'm looking for a very big box so I can send my 37" LCD to someone. I have found many etailers that sell just boxes, but not in the size I want! I'm looking for approx: 1400mm x 250mm x 800mm

Tried the local retailers too. Not helpful :mad:

Any ideas where I can get one?
 
i work for an it distribution / server building company and from what i remember we use boxes of a similar size sometimes.

so it may be worth just making a few calls to local companies like that.

The one nearest me had a dead body kept in one of the storage things for weeks :eek:
 
Trawl your local retail park, ask at certain competitor stores and they'll gladly off load you a box from one of there display models, or lets put it this way, the average competitor premises has plenty of dumped boxes 'round the back.

Personally, I'd wrap it in brown paper & blame the parcel carriers..... :p
 
Lidl have some that are 6ft by about 4ft by about 3ft. I'm sure you can sweet talk them into parting with one :eek:

Hold on. Fingers. 6 x 3 x 4 = yeah, 72. BIG!!!

They normally have them sat on a couple of pallets
 
I recently asked a local high street TV shop if they would let me know when they were unpacking new stuff and they let me have the giant box a TV came in.
