I am not a fan of the ps3 analougue stick placment or the dead zones on the sticks.

Does anyone know a good replacement i could buy?(that doesn't cost a silly amount :p)

I recently bought this one from Argos (sorry if that's classed as a competitor):

Feels nice and pretty well made, not quite up to 360 controller standards (particularly the triggers) but good enough and loads better than the official PS3 controller IMO. Unlike some third party controllers it works just fine with FW 3.50+. Only real downside is it uses an ugly USB dongle.

I have the same one. Triggers are a little stiff and don't have that much travel, and the analogue sticks have a slighty iffy dead zone when being used for FPS aiming, but I still find it better than the DS3.

can you not just use an actual xbox 360 USB pad..? or is that just not possible? playstation pads are terrible to be honest. :(

i would still like to do one of the controller mods where you put the ps3 controller inside the 360 controller case, but all the circuit remaking etc is above me lol.

Im starting to get used to the ps3 controller, but it still sucks compared to the 360's controller.

Just been reading that the bumpers are no good and dead zones onthe sticks. Might try the black ops controller.

EDIT: Just read the black ops pad is laggy.

Yeah I'd love to do this but don't want to blow two controllers on a failure!

Can't get on with PS3 controller one bit :(

I use the Cross Battle Adapter but the triggers aren't analogue. But I don't play racing games seriously so it doesn't bother me. :)

Soulja I pretty much am always on my ps3 now, it takes about 2 months to get used to the ps3 controller, I now think the xbox controller is weird, I prefer the ps3 controller now hehe

I sort of agree.

I was reading an article about how the Japanese want the game controller to feel as though 'you are holding water' and the DualShock 3 is pretty light. Basically my rule of thumb is if you can fire using L1/R1 then the DS3 is OK but when it comes to the triggers being the primary control method then I swap to the 360 controller.

id love to do this the other way round. or even better the ps2 pad as i dont like the ps3 pad triggers

ive had this 360 over year now (my second attempt) and the left stick and buttons still make me mad

I bought the triggers for £1.99, took them off within minutes, it didn't actually improve the feel of the triggers at all for me, they're still too spongy and furthermore it just made the back of the controller feel weird. Chucked them in the bin.
