Been watching some of those spruious terrorist videos of fighting in Iraq and was wondering about the origin of the music...

Obviously quite a morose subject, but was curious about the music because it sounds relatively well made and I have never really heard that genre before...

No, noob it, Google!

Actually I was hoping that some arabic savvy forum members could help me... I don't want 'arabic lift music' type stuff

Have you tried online stores like :

Deathtothewestyoufilthyinfidel.com ?

not really a constructive post, but

STAY AWAY!!! My girlfriend makes me listen to this *awful* genre of music and it just gets worse the more you listen

fini

PS: I'll see if I can get her to post something useful when she's free tonight
EDIT: I was reffering to arabic music generally - my gf is not a terrorist lol

The music from the Juba sniper video is very nice, quite enjoyed it, despite not being able to speak Arabic.

I'm not sure I'm allowed to post a link to it, since it contains death and might be considered terrorist propoganda. :p

I was in Tunisia last year and near the end of the holiday I'd heard so much of this music that I decided to ask the Tunisian Dj's what they were playing and where I could get it from. To my amazement they pulled out copied cd's with no titles on them and they hadn't got a clue. I then tried the entertainment staff in our hotel (about 20 lads) and none of them knew the tunes either.

if you live in the uk (london to be precise) the best place to go would be Edgware Rd... however, try www.musicoflebanon.com , or http://www.mazika.com/en/default.aspx - theres an "english" button - top left hand corner- to change the lingo so u can actually know whats written...if this isnt what ** looking for, keep looking (google works, but u gotta sift thru - different artists have different types of beat, so its worth sampling a few)... type in "arabic music"... hope this helps :) :)
