Where can I get Flash?

As title, really.
I don't mean the flash plugin for Firefox/IE, however. I want the program which you can use to open .swf files on your local machine, if you see what I mean. I can't find a flash player which isn't a plugin for a browser :/

No, you don't understand. I don't want to edit anything, I just want to open .swf files on my hard drive without having to use IE/Firefox to do so.

Just a flash player.

Unfortunately it won't open flash games which I've saved to disc.

Flash MX had what I wanted, I remember. Alongside Flash MX was the little flash player. Isn't there a way to only get the flash player (because I am not interested in FlashMX, I don't edit nor create .swf files) ?
