Hi all

I'm trying to find a phone card so we can call our parents at home when we land in San Francisco as part of our 3 weeks honeymoon around California.

Just got back from our town and no where seems to sell them 2 years ago we went Florida and the travel agents sold them and post offices etc but now none of them sell them?.

I have about a 3 hour gap on sunday before we head down to Heathrow to try and find any. Does anyone know anywhere i could get them from please?

Or do you think i could get one down at Heathrow?

Thank ou.

yeh but dont make the mistake i did when i last went. i had no money on myself and was sent into a shop to get a $10 card, i forgot the tax, so i came to $10.65, felt like a tool having to go back outside to get more money. was like being 5 again asking for 50p for some crisps.

The Post Office sells International Phone Cards. I can't remember off the top of my head if they're worldwide or only europe (which isn't good considering I work there!). Pretty sure they're worldwide though.

Once you land, go to the closest shop and ask them for a cheap International card. When I still lived in Canada, I could get 20+ hours of talktime to the UK on a $20 card. Worked out to $0.015 per minute. So $0.90/hour.

although you wouldn't think it the best place in florida for cards was EPCOT. I got around 14 hours for 10$ to the UK. My wife using the same card to phone Ireland got 35 minutes LOL
