Hi,
might be a stupid question but can I download service pack 2 and put it on a cd so when I build my new computer I dont have to get it via MS update?

I looked on Microsoft but they only have this
WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU.exe

which says it is for multiple computers?? Is that the one I want?

Cheers

You can integrate SP2 into a install CD using nlite or a switch (forgot what it was, -i maybe?) and it'll just update a source CD.

/Edit - You have to copy the CDs contents to a folder on your PC then point the integration setup to that folder too.

/Edit2 - maybe you'll find this useful too http://support.microsoft.com/kb/900871

that file works, thats just a "complete package" of sp2, whereas windowsupdate will only get the updates you need.
