Where can we buy kirsch?

My wife is looking for some kirsch for making a black forest gateau, but hasn't found any so far. She's tried tesco and sainsburys and some off licenses... Any suggestions?

Could you use cherries in kirsch as a substitute? as they're widely available.

just get a jar of cherries in kirsch, the cherrys should suit the gateux well.

Either that or buy a jar eat all the cherries then handover whats left

I agree with the cherries in kirsch, i made a black forest gateau for my mums 60th and the amount of the bottle of kirsch used was minimal and its a foul tasting liquor and hasn't been touched since.

We bought ours from Booths supermarket but it was £16 a bottle so i'd just buy cherries in kirsch (which we also got from Booths) and save your money
