Where could I get a custom plate made up?

I'm shifting my regulator/rectifier from next to the engine and exhaust headers to behind my numberplate. I've done all the wiring and electrical connections but I now need to fix the mechanical conumdrum of how to mount the rectifier.

It's going to need some 3mm thick aluminium and four holes drilled in it, but searching for an engineering firm near me turned up civil engineers, software engineers and people who clean sewers :)

I'm going to make my own from hardboard as a template/test-fit, but if anyone has any contacts or idea, it'd be appreciated.

EDIT: Sorry, thread title sounds like I want a numberplate made... I dont.

Can't you just buy a piece of Ally & make it yourself ?

Also why are you putting your rectifier in a place where it will be vulnerable to anything your rear tyre kicks up ?

Ya know, for the cost of getting a firm to do it, which in all honesty, you might well struggle to find some one to do it as it's such a piddly little job, you really might as well do it yourself.

I don't have the tools for it and I'm stuck in a rental place which means I havent had the chance to equip myself with a proper garage.

As for why am I moving it there? article

I've had enough trips on recovery lorries due to lack of battery charging that I'd like to get the issue sorted once and for all.

For now, I'm going to use some ally strips and bolts, but I dont want to leave a homemade hacksaw job on the bike.

I've had stuff done before by engineering firms for cash when its something simple. Hell, a machinist could do this in about 10 mins with some scrap I reckon.

If it's that simple then post the specs/drawing on here, maybe some one could knock one up for you. :)

I've just noticed, on the pic in the article, the rectifier is mounted straight on the plastic, no bracket required. I'll try with the ally strips I have just cut anyway and see how it goes.

If I think it needs a proper bracket/plate made up, I'll come back with some specs.
