Where Did It All Go?

Here's not forgetting that large parts of the country only had 3-4 inches of snow that lasted a couple of weeks and then large periods of dry, cold weather. Probably less than an inch of actual precipitation in a month and not much for a lot of the rest of the winter (harsh winters usually mean little water). Spring has been so dry in the SE, we had about 6 weeks of no rain in March and April and its only been the last week that we've really had significant rain in Surrey! A water shortage this summer has been expected for months! :p

Where has the op been? A lot of the country has had the driest April and May for decades with rainfall been less then 20% of normal for some areas

This is normally the time the reservoirs fill up to try and last through summer. Crops are failing all over.

This is going to be a long hosepipe ban for some people.

wat, it's been nothing but rain down in Telford here this year :p

I really dont't think its short term , for last 6-9 months overall there has been very little rain.

If we like it or not we are slowly raping this earth of its resources. Hopefully we'll find a way to reverse or stop it. I'm no eco warrior but its hard to argue against it.

Before anyone says it I don't agree with the stupid ECO taxs either TBH I don't believe that is the answer

From looking out my window the last few days, I think it's all in Bath/Bristol... sure there's got to be a joke in there about all the water being in the bath or so, but i really can't be bothered!

Outside our shop today we had a board out with the headline from a local paper, going on about the drought. It rained all day.

This thread makes me sad :(. I mean I don't like it when its too hot, especially at night, but we have had hardly any sun at all this year up here.

Looks like you might be getting a bit of rain in the south this next week according to BBC weather.
