Probably for the best, he's managed to make a complete mess out a very simple situation after having received some brilliant advice on how to handle it and he doesn't seem to want to take anything else on board.

I bet he'll get virtually none of his deposit back, his landlord was right when he said he knew how to play him, he's done him. Well and truly done him.

It's a shame an OP can simply get a thread full of good advice, which others may find useful in the future, deleted after they throw toys out of the pram

AH right I see now - I asked him for the name of the scheme and their number, I was going to do some digging as to what advice they would hand out.

Perhaps that's what made him abort? Too bad really, could have been a tidy outcome for them all if he'd have stuck with it.

Exaclty this. i was reading it and there was some excellent advice in there that could prove very useful to someone not very experienced in that area. For example, i have never rented a property so did not know about any of the issues raised by that thread, it has provided me with some very useful info that i could use fairly soon.......But now it is gone!
