.....yes i am very aware that this is simply a "How to post a letter thread".....I am also aware that it is a very low point of my internet "career" - if you like.

But for anyone that works at a post office, I have a small letter on which a recorded label must fit - where do I put the address label?

Last time i was in the post office and the recorded label didn't fit, the woman behind the counter nearly cried and had a fat go at me - but i've forgotten what "advice" she gave me on how to post the letter....so does anyone know.

The packet opens to the right (the flap to close the packet is on the right)......there is very little space, so if the recorded sticker goes in the top left, then the label goes in the bottom right......

.....tbh....I don't really give a ****, but I swear to god, the woman was close to suicide and I don't want to be responsible for the death of someone.

Can you put it in a slightly bigger envelope? It must be pretty tiny. I would put the recorded label on the extreme left, on top of the address label so that the address label is as close to the centre as possible without the address actually being obscured.

If it's too tiny to manage that then you have a very small envelope or a very large address label.

If you can put the address label on the left and the recorded label on the right underneath the stamp and it should be fine.
