Where do I start with Battlestar Galactica?

So I'm sick as a pike and want to use the time recovering in bed to catch up with some shows.

People are constantly telling me how good this show is, but aren't there like 2 or 3 iterations? Where on earth should I start??

Sadly didn't get a chance to watch them. They'd disappeared from Prime and don't really have the funds to spare on a box set at present.

Have a long weekend off for this months payday though so going to grab them then!
