Where do temp programs get their data from?

Just wondering this, as shouldnt they all get their temps from the same sensor?

At the minute, speed fan says 39, everest says 33 and core temp says 26 and 38.

who do i believe! this is with an x2 @ 2.6 with 1.3v and a freezer pro so im leaning towards everest...

Depends how cold your room is really, isn't odd for me to have <30 at times.

As for the sensor question I have no idea, I would have thought they all got it from the same place though.
