On the floor. Its a Corsair 800D, darn thing is almost as tall as my desk is.

Main PC is on floor to the left, file server is under the bed as I've not cat5'ed up any of the other rooms yet. It's cool and quiet enough so might just leave it there.

I like peace and quiet, so carpeted floor under desk parallel to wall. I just counted 16 cables exiting my case. It would be a tad messy on a desk

On caster base on floor to right of desk and left of entertainment center. At 2meters it's silent... except foor TX650 fan that lying Corsairs says is "Ultra quiet". Can hear it 3-4meters away!

I might move mine back under desk but mounted on a stand rather than directly on to the carpet as the cat likes to leave its hair there. I have a large desk and its just fan/PSU whine that is starting to grave but case and PSU are coming up for 4 years old

I really like have case on caster base. Easy to move in and out... keeps it off of floor and all the carp the jumps out of carpet.

Desk. I had it on the floor for just summer, and the amount of dust that accumulated on filters were insane compared to on desk.
