Where do you keep your USB stick?

Hi

I've gone through so many memory sticks, I always seem to lose them. How do you keep yours safe? I'm thinking of finding some software to password protect the memory stick then to keep it on a keyring with my keys. That way I'll always have it with me.

What do you do?

btw if anyone knows of some good software to password protect a memory stick please let me know!

I don't use a memory stick, I use git.

I have taken a pigs ear and sewn it to the back of my scrotum to create a hidden pouch where I keep my USB stick and the freshly chewed gum people I'm stalking occasionally spit out.

I have one on a huge orange lanyard so I don't lose it. I lost it and bought another one which is clipped to my keys. I then found my unloseable lanyard one...

stops some hdd thrashing but only if you have low ram anyway.

if you have 8gb of system ram you cant turn on ready boost

The ones used for backups are in a tray that fits inside an optical drive bay. Moving files between computers is rsync-over-ssh or Dropbox. Carrying USB sticks around only lead to losing them.
