Haven't seen the series so couldn't say really.

I'm a senior lead engineer (supervisor) with a third party service company called TWMA, we handle and process drill cuttings mostly.

Roughnecks work far harder than me and get a lot dirtier but I get paid more A roughneck would expect to earn £26k-£28k pa.
