Where does XP store its downloaded updates?

Sorry if this is a real dumb question, but I've spent the past 20 mins searching the Microsoft site to try and see where Windows XP saves the automatic update files it pulls down, but with no sucess. I'm going to do a re-build today, and rather than let the new box spend hours downloading I thought I'd back the files up - but I've no idea where they are! Can anyone help?

Sorry folks, quick bump - just in case anyone has a flash of inspiration! Have tried google & MS till im blue in the face, but I think i must be using the wrong terms...cheers for any advice

You will find them in the C:\Windows directory... they are Hidden folders.

Just redownload them. Much simpler in the long run and on a 1mbit line it'll take 20 mins at most.

way better idea..

use nlite and ryanvm hotfix pack to integrate SP2 and the ryanvm pack (all hotfixes since SP2) into your xp disc, and burn a new disc with it
