where have they gone ?

For some reason i have lost all my applications in my " Applications " folder. The only things in there now are Flip4Mac and Utilities but utilities has nothing in it. Its a little weird and i was wondering where on earth they have gone. I dont ever remember deleting anything like that just one day i looked and nothing was in the folder :?

Have you tried doing a search for some of your lost application? I have no idea off the top of my head why they'd move or be erased but if you can find some evidence we might be able to track the issue down.

the applications are still on my laptop, but just no links in the application folder which is obviously a bit annoying, theyve just all disappeared

In what directory do they reside now?

you are looking probably in the root directory, not in the user application directory, or vice versa.

I found that myself, as I had one application stored as root (before I created the user accounts) and everything else was in my home -> applications folder rather than a straight HDD application folder.

i found it . It was me being idiotic so cheers for the the help. Some one had by the looks of things dragged my applications folder some where else. Probably one of my friends who wasnt too mac savvy. Saying that tho im not exactly top gun my self
