Where holiday for taking pics & a relaxing beach?

I was going go on a short notice holiday to Spain or Portugal. As just been made redundant & not had a holiday in 12 years.

I love taking pics of the countryside here as my Flickr link in sig will show.
I was thinking near the coast in Portugal/Spain with maybe an old village nearby that's photogenic.
Also an all-in hotel but not bothered about booze or nightlife & will be going on my own.

Does anyone know of any nice scenic places over there that are close to a hotel as don't fancy driving there.

I've been to portugal, we rented a car, although Lisbon is a bit mad, our experience of the country is that it isn't as populated and really nice to drive through. Motorways were great and some fantastic places to photograph.

Alternatively consider the Amalfi coast in Italy, stunning for photography but definitely wont be ever driving there, pure madness. The train system is pretty good though and there is a good supply of buses.

Thanks guys. I also heard Lotto is Tossa de Mar is nice. Looking forward to putting the sigma 35mm through its paces.
Yes I'm quite fit & do cycling & stuff.

indeed. the 35mm sigma is awsome but at f1.4 it is a hard to control the focus lol

Yeah wide open it can be unforgiving but it can also be used for effect, like in this pic only the bench is in focus.
