Hi,
My Dad's ancient (but incredibly reliable) Mondeo has finally died, thanks to a huge lump of metal in the road that my Dad unfortunately thought was a dead Pheasant
So he is wanting a replacement and has his heart set on a new shape Focus. He doesn't need anything sporty, just something that has good economy and can comfortably pull his boat on a trailer and wants to spend around £10,000.
Trade Sales in Slough list a "New Shape 1.6 TDCi (110) Sport 5dr Hatchback Manual" 06/2006 plate with 16K miles for £9,499.
Is this a good price? Are there any other Focus's that he may be better off with? He hasn't had a diesel before, but is there any reason why he shouldn't go for one?
He lives in Nantwich, Nr Crewe. Are there any good car supermarkets around there? I assume he would be better off avoiding the Ford dealerships?
Thanks for any thoughts
