ok where have all the people gone on UT3

theres hardly anyone on and i dont like unpopulated servers

anyone want a game???

That game pretty much divebombed after release. Nobody playing it because most feel its a pos basically.

but ut2004 is very popular, and ut3 is simply ut04 graphics+extra light/shadow effects... but theres just something about the ut04 gamesplay that puts me off playin that instead...

dunno what, i was ok playing it before UT3 came out :confused:

Was thinking of buying a copy of this game, but is there really a huge lack of players?

UT3 is slowly picking up apparantly, Lots of high profile mods are coming out soonish and hopefully player counts will pick up then. Its a shame its struggling.
UT3's core gameplay is far more exciting than the previous UT's in my opinion, it just doesn't have as many great maps, and has a few other flaws on top

i used to like the old ut99 back in the day (as many did)

but times have changed and i just cant get back into it now

+ it struggles on my quad and i tryed the corespeed= command but it didnt seem to work

EDIT: by 'struggles' i mean it runs too fast not too slow

thought id explain incase i raised a few eyebrows there

Yeah, I prefer the basic gameplay over UT2004, but the game as a whole is a shadow of 2K4, I blame the fact that it was designed for console kiddies. Hopefully updates can fix it as the fundamentals are there.
