Hi I’ve been playing rust and I’ve heard it’s a very CPU intensive game. My GPU is always on 100% and my cpu is usually around 30% though? Not sure what I would need to upgrade to be able to get better FPS. Any replies would be appreciated. Thanks.
I would start by posting your full PC spec and gaming resolution.
Looking at that tho surely your bottleneck is the GPU as its pinned at 100% all the time and the CPU is only at 30%.
Having a quick look online the recommended hardware requirements are
- CPU: Intel Core i7-4690K / AMD Ryzen 5 1600
- CPU SPEED: Info
- RAM: 16 GB
- OS: Windows 10 64bit
- VIDEO CARD: GTX 980 / AMD R9 Fury
- PIXEL SHADER: 5.1
- VERTEX SHADER: 5.1
- FREE DISK SPACE: 12 GB
- DEDICATED VIDEO RAM: 4096 MB
I get about the same as the guy in the video (60-70 usually) just wondering what I would need to upgrade to get more frames. Thanks againI do not know much about rust but looking at this video he has the same low cpu usage and maxed out gpu.

I am unsure if this is still the case but the game maybe limited to 4 core max, again this was mentioned in another video
what fps are you getting in the game?
Ok thanks guys appreciate it!Issue is at the moment finding a new gpu for a decent price is near on impossible!
