Where is the news?

Lol, can compilation of this data not be scripted?

Sorry guys, yep it's pretty much all done with php querying a mySQL database now, I originally intended to move it from a lamp server at home to a hosted service before I moved to Poland so it could be easily accessed anywhere.
But the problem is my hosting (vidahost) doesn't allow the FILE permission for mySQL users, which is required for LOAD DATA INFILE command, which the script uses to load the flat files from stanford as they are 30mb and can't be processed quick enough with inserts.

I discovered this after writing the scripts and have since tried other ways which avoid the FILE permission but they are all to slow/awkward/complex to use (I'm no scripting expert and the system is temperamental enough at best lol!).

I don't really fancy changing my hosting as I have a feeling that similar priced options will have the same problem, and what it really needs is proper hosting like the teamocuk.co.uk site uses, but I'm not forking out for that! (unless anyone has a spare one?!)

So currently it's running on a netbook, which I used to take with me everywhere, but now I've a nexus 7 and tend to use that for everything now so forget the netbook on occasion.

Apologies I'll be a bit more settled for a while now so with the exception of the odd holiday there shouldn't be any more problems, and I'm back in the UK this summer so will plop it back on a folding rig then.

Nice to see that people miss the news though :)
