Where is this telephone number from?

I just received a call on my mobile, the number starts 070365. The person on the other end said "Hello, hello can you hear me", the line was extremely bad and then they hung up.

I was going to call them back straight away but I took a second look at the number and it really doesn't look like a mobile number.

I am guessing it is a scam and that if I ring them back I will be charged something stupid like £10 a minute? Anyone recognise where the number comes from?

I'd ignore it, if it's that important they will call back.

070 numbers are what are known as "follow-me" numbers - and as such can point anywhere, and you can be charged almost anything, depending on who provides the service.

They trick you into thinking it's a mobile number - but I wouldn't ever call one.

search it in google it brings up a few links. remove the 5 from the end first though

I get a missed call every few days from 070 numbers, first time i tried to ring it back the nice lady from orange told me that if i continued with the call i could be charged at something daft like £1.50 a minute (i think)

Well I just rang it from my work landline and it seems to be some sort of scam. At least I didn't have to pay for it
