Where shall I stick my probes?!

I have purchased Akasa AK FC-03 Fan Controller Pro (OA-002-AK) and would appreciate some advice on exactly where I should stick my temperature probes.

The general locations suggested by the controller are CPU, HDD, Case and PSU.

CPU - From searching posts here I think I have got this covered. The probe should ideally be attached to the side of the IHS on the processor. However, if I can't get this to stick satisfactorily is their an alternative location?

HDD - Do I just stick it to the top of the drive?

Case - Anywhere in particular? Attached to the underneath of the top panel or perhaps just pointing into air space?

PSU - Attached to the top of the PSU? If so, isn't this likely to give a similar reading to the case probe?

i have a hardcano 12, mines are currently under cpu (well it was til the 64 X2 went in), front of the case and back of the case (near where cpu, exhaust fan etc are), the 4th one i disconnected, altho i dont use them that much as i jus keep track with software

Id put them on your pwmic and vrms.

You can access the temps of cpu hdd etc via software
Oooo I hadn't thought of monitoring those - nice idea.

I'd still like to do the CPU though so I can check at a glance whilst in game.

It just like double sided tape that can handle high temps ;)

Aye thanks, does the Akasa ShinEtsu Thermal Interface Pads (OA-000-AK) count as frag tape? Maybe chop it up to smaller pieces and use to stick probe to side of IHS, possible?
