Where the heck is the Nexus 10 2?

Were't Asus or LG taking over the Nex10 this time?

I'd heard that Sammy didn't want to do it this time as they wanted to throw all their money into the Note/Gear series or Phablets/Tablets and Wearables!

I could be wrong though! :)

Perhaps Google wanted to avoid releasing it too close to the N5, as releasing the N4 and N10 at the same time last year was a complete mess. It's been a month though... surely that's enough time for N5 sales to calm down?

Hmm this _is_ a shame. I was really hoping to upgrade from the nexus 7 this year. There's been so much speculation I would be surprised if we don't see something this year.

I don't think they sold that many and so not much incentive release another which will likely flop.

The ipad I think has the 10 inch space all sewn up.

This would not surprise me. I'd love if they replaced the Nexus 7 AND Nexus 10 with a device around 8-9". The Nexus 10 is just a bit too big and the 7 isn't large enough over a 5" phone to warrant me getting it.

You could be right about the 8" version. I think that would be more likely than a 10"er.

Feel exactly the same about size though I'm not sure I agree with killing the other form factors as many people like them.

Android is sorely missing an 8-9 incher with decent internals and screen.

There has been several rumours about this tablet, surely a bit odd if they don't offer one, personally i like the size/format, found the 7in tablets too small really, driving us into buying an Ipad Air at this rate.........

Not sure why with devices like the Xperia Tablet Z and the new Note 10.1... I can't imagine the new N10 besting them by much if at all.

If you want to get an ipad then get one but if you want a 10 inch Android there shouldn't be anything stopping you from getting one of the current tablets.

Fair points, I've been a bit lazy looking at Android alternatives really as I much prefer the no hassle of pure Android and not having to put new ROMs on etc to catch up with the latest OS updates etc.

From what I remember about the Xperia Launcher, it's not too bloated compared to Pure Google or the GEL, okay there's some dedicated Sony apps/widgets, but it's very light compared to Sense or TouchWiz

Yep, the Xperia Tablet had an update not long after it launched which took out almost any custom features or bloatware. The xperia is almost completely stock.

It really is a good tablet. *cough* is selling one *cough*
