I just saw on a short news clip on BBC3 that Ferne Cottons radio show, received the best Radio Program Award.
Am I alone in the feeling that her show is diabolical, she's annoying and she natters on about absolute tripe!

must be. we all agree in the office that she is the worst DJ in the daytime. we have radio1 on all day at work. she is the one that annoys us most. just like a younger woman's hour. it seems impossible for them to get female DJs that arent ****

She does my head in - if I had to use one word to describe her it would be 'tryhard'.

She's not Kerry Katona or Katie Price annoying but she's definitely well on her way IMO.
 
Don't the networks provide clips to Sony and they are what are judged on, rather than the whole show.
Never liked the slot before (with Jo W) and still have no time for it with Fearne tbh.

The show won Best Music Program, and this is 100% down to the Live Lounge.

I HATE HATE HATE the way she (and probably other DJ's) call their guests by their fullest name, ie....Carly Ray Jepson, Greg James. Why not just call her Carly, or him Greg....wtf????
If you have to say their full name then they aint famous enough to be on radio as a psecial guest!

Cotton = Skank DJ. (she's barely bearable on Celebrity Juice)

What annoys me most about her show, and what someone else mentioned is the tryhardness. This I find is something across the board at Radio 1, DJ's whose stories, are clearly scripted, they're not very good at telling them, and it sound like they're talking like a 15yr kid in the play ground.
As irritating as Moyles is, his shows don't have lots of errrr, yerrr, an annndd's in them. I despise radio DJ's who love everything, even when it's clearly ****, aka Zane Lowe.
 
I feel sorry for anyone that has to listen to radio 1 at work. I used to have to endure Chris Moyles in the morning and then 8 hours of *****.

All of their presenters are rubbish. They talk ****, play **** and are generally not that good at their jobs as far as I can tell. How on earth they get paid anything beyond the minimum wage is beyond me.

You mean after they've introduced the guest using their full name obviously, they go on to use their full name when talking to them?

Radio isn't like tv, people don't always know whats on the radio when they want to listen to it, most people don't read a radio guide. They just turn the radio on when they feel like listening to it. So you have countless people tuning in it at different stages of the interview so you need to constantly say the full name.
