TDFL is a far better driving game than that virtualr video clip would have you believe, the graphics are not quite as polished as pCARS, but the framerate is far more optimised and better performing. No square trees popping up on my rig! Handling wise, TDFL is definitely not a pure "arcade" racer, I' say it is more "sim" than "arcade." Regardless, the cars have their own personalities.
Multiplayer could be better, the only way to communicate with others that join the server is by messaging them inside GFWL, their is no build-in text chat window. The single player difficulty seems a bit erratic, I found the Golden Era a breeze until I reached "Friendly Rivalry" in pro handling mode, I then hit a brick wall, which I finally broke through earlier today (some 20-odd attempts later).
So far I'm happy to have purchased TDFL, it is a worthy modern day equivalent to the classic NFS: Porsche 2000/Unleashed, giving a sense of history to a famous car brand and how some tracks have changed over the years.
