Where to buy a tiny spring?

I was dismantling my mouse (MX Revolution) and I foolishly lost the spring that makes the wheel click! It was a 2mm OD, 10mm length compression spring. I have no doubt that the lovely people at Logitech would send me a new one, because they're ridiculously kind, but I'd rather not abuse them - does anyone know where I can obtain such a tiny spring?

Thanks!

Biro spring is far too big in terms of diameter. I know a couple of engineering companies I can probably get one from, but by the time I've bought a minimum quantity, and paid for delivery, I can see it costing the best part of £10!

There are small springs inside the "guts" of clipper lighters. There is a small spring that sits beneath the flint. Dismantle with care or that lil spring will go walkabout too.

Hope this helps

*edit* they also sell mini clipper lighters, the spring is smaller than a standard as i had trouble putting standard flints into it so the OD must be smaller

You can indeed sir. It had been in a cupboard for a couple of years with the scroll wheel set to smooth, so the spring was compressed. When I dug it out, the spring wouldn't engage the "click" of the scroll wheel properly anymore, so I was going to shim it.

I've got one you can have, it's a bit shorter and fatter than the origional but it'll fit.. just tried it in mine.

A couple of quid? no, but you can throw me a C300 or two :p

Seriously though thanks but there's no need, it's only a stamp. Posted it today so it should be with you monday. :)

Whether you mean the SSD, the car, or the phone, I'm afraid I won't stretch that far :p.

Huge thanks for that John, really is appreciated. Thanks for being part of the community spirit too :).
