I'm going the Trafford centre in manchester today to hopefully pick up a Panasonic Lumix FZ200.

It will prob be bit more than online but I'm going to try get a memory card and bag thrown into the deal.

If I can't get one today, what online retailers are trusted?

Also how much storage will I need for a 20 day holiday?

Thanks.

struggling to find it in stock anywhere!

think ive managed to get it from currys delivered to my nearest store tomorrow for £400. went thru quidco and should get 7% cash back.

found these Kingston UHS-I Elite 16GB SDHC Memory Card for £10.99 at a store near me. how many shots do you think i will get on one?

will 2 be enough? we will be traveling for nearly 3 weeks.

I would recommend you get a UV filter / lens guard, especially for a bridge since if you damage the only lens you have attached to it, it's game over :)

Been doing some reading on this. It seems 50/50 yes/no.

I will keep the lense hood on tho.

Any one else think its a good/bad idea?

Indeed, a U/V filter is an utter waste of cash. The elements in the lens are already treated for U/V light anyway so it will do exactly nothing.

Additionally the last thing you need for such a small sensor is something to degrade the image further such as a crap piece of glass on the front of the lens.

Just keep the hood on and don't plan on dropping the camera on it's front element much.

I wasn't recommending the filter, I was commending protection for the glass. Do you really think IQ would suffer with say a Hoya Pro-1 in the front?!
