Where to buy flat skewers?

Hi All

As per the title, I'm looking for some flat skewers... at present I have a few short round ones which are ok but it is a pain when trying to turn them as everything just swings round...also they are too short.

What I'd like in an ideal world is some 30cm flat stainless steel skewers but all I can seem to find is either ones which are much shorter or are chrome plate steel and very cheep which I don't suppose would last me too long...

Can anyone suggest where I might be able to get some that won't cost the earth? (I've seen then from the US on ebay but the shipping costs are huge!!!)

weber do some double pronged ones which stop stuff rotating, but you do have to line the two prongs up quite well

I use my Weber BBQ ones which would fit the bill, and they come with a BBQ rack.

Just find ones the right size for you,

They're the ones I've found but they're chrome plate rather than stainless so I'm not convinved they'll last too long (I have ordered some to give them a try and to tide me over until I find exactly what I'm looking for...

)

There's plenty to choose from just search flat skewers, stainless ones are more expensive.

I know I could do that, I was looking online and couldn't find anything quite what I was looking for, either they were cheap non - stainless ones or much more expensive posh designer ones.

If you can't get any you like you could use 2 round skewers through the meat/veg about 1cm apart, works a treat. It works great with bamboo skewers too.
